Backup on external USB disk
Roberto Antonelli
It would be very convenient and practical to be able to make a backup of the internal Music 1 and Music 2 disks on an external USB disk, in case of problems you could restore the complete library saving a lot of time. For example, the MELCO servers that I have used do this and it is very effective if you need to replace or format the internal disks.

I have my music stored on two external hard drives and downloaded that music onto the Aurender drives. However, I do like the idea of having the option to backup my Aurender drives into an external drive. If I buy music from Qobuz or HDTracks, I may want to save it directly onto the Aurender drives, then I can back it up on the external drives. Having the option to do so is a positive.

You are doing this the wrong way around. You should have your music on an external hard disk (UDB drive, NAS, PC storage, etc) and then copy that to the Aurender. So technically the Aurender storage holds a backup of your music.
It also allows you to filter out any file that has nothing to do with playing music, like insanely large scans of artwork, so you have more room on your Aurender for music.

My suggestion is this, I have the aurender W20 for many years and I have copied files from different sources and in different periods to the internal disks. I often had to rename the files, add or change the cover file and organize the disks by artist and release year, a long fine tuning job to see the covers and file names correctly on the Conducto app when I command the W20. If you could make an "image" backup of what the internal disks contain, this long job could be saved. If I wanted or had to change the hdd instead it would be irretrievably lost.
