Robert Kunen The idea is for the Conductor app to provide an expanded search, like you mentioned, to work like Roon. Roon is the best music catalogue player in the game and it is not complex, as in, difficult to navigate. I have a ton of local music files tied to Roon and when I search an album, artist or track, Roon selects my local file, first, if I have it. Otherwise, Roon will select the Flac file from my Qobuz streaming service if I don’t have the album. To me, Roon works excellent and I think most would appreciate that feature in the Conductor app.

Sean I understand. I also have Roon and use it to discover music and indeed my music library is also in my Roon server. I just mean that for the Aurender developers, changing global search to the way you describe is a profound change in design philosophy and architecture and is therefore not so likely to happen. Still, I also would like that. Aurender sounds so much better than Roon, even when using my N20 as Roon endpoint it just doesn’t match the sound when playing from Conductor. So in the end, Conductor is my to go to.

Robert I’m using this platform to make suggestions to Aurender as they like to hear from Aurender owners. If they can’t make the upgrade, it’s not an issue. I read Aurender owner suggestions all the time on this platform and I don’t bother telling them something won’t work or it’ll be too difficult for Aurender to implement. I never dreamed that the founders of Soloos would evolve their hardware and software into what Roon is today? So, all we can do is make suggestions and let the gurus see what they can do over time!

Sean I understand and I do the same. I already posted your request much earlier on, as I use this platform for providing feedback already since it was introduced. Aurender picks up those that are feasible and that are upvoted enough. I unfortunately see people reposting their own request rather than reading what is there already and upvoting. Your request, which I fully support, now has only two upvotes, one of which is mine. With two we never boil up to the shortlist what will be picked up. Please check mine and upvote. Apart from the global search I’ve requested other Roon stuff like sorting by listened to counter or by artist. Still not realized even if those are easy for them.
